Northwest Bird Expo will be at Merrill Gardens this coming weekend, July 1-2

This coming weekend – July 1 and 2 – The Gilded Feather Foundation (a local non-profit organization) is hosting the first Northwest Bird Expo at Merrill Gardens.  

Admission is $5 under 12 and $10 for the public (which all proceeds go to The Gilded Feather Foundation’s “Garbo Grant”).  Admission is also FREE for 5 and under and FREE for 65 and over.

This event will also have vendors in the community room and also in the beautiful adjoining courtyard.

The expo hours are Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with raffle items and other wonderful giveaways.  There will also be public fresh parrot food demonstrations and a public seminar from the Belize Bird Rescue.

VIP ALL ACCESS passes will allow access to lunch donated by The Point in Burien and access to world-renowned speakers from all over the country, including Dr. Karen Becker (the world’s number one followed holistic veterinarian on social media), Dr. Jason Crean (educator, aviculturist, biologist), international trainer Lara Joseph (owner of The Animal Behavior Center), free lance writer and columnist from Bird Talk Magazine Patricia Sund, Dr. Annaleise Strunk and Dr. Alicia McLaughlin from the Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine and last but not least, Bonnie Zimmermann from The Indonesian Parrot Project.

This is the companion exotic bird event of the year and it’s not to be missed!

Note – No LIVE animals will be sold at this event and only licensed service animals are allowed.
