All are invited to attend “Climate Outloud” on Saturday, July 29 at the Burien Library.
Nature Stewards Program, in partnership with Burien King County Library and Humanities WA,  will present an all-day event featuring the “Most Talked about Court Case of the Century” – Kids Sue the Federal Government for not Protecting their Right to a Livable Future.  This case will be discussed in “Climate Outloud.”
Andrea Rodgers, the attorney from Our Children’s Trust representing the kids, will be present to explain the case and answer questions.  Hear testimony from the young plaintiffs living in West Seattle.
The all-day event begins at 11 a.m. with supporting non-profit organizations introduced at 11, the plaintiffs sharing at Noon, and the attorneys answering questions at 2 p.m.
The main conference room on the first floor of the library is open to the public from 11 a.m. to closing at 5 p.m.
The room holds 278 people.

  1. Way cool..I sure hope famous stock car driver and serial entrepreneur Jerrod Sessler will be there to help teach me.

  2. There is a 120 volt outlet in the area of the alternative fuel stalls by the stairs. A real charging station would be nice, but probably anyone attending this event lives within the range of an electric vehicle.

  3. I have to come all the way from Ballard. If there isn’t a plug in I may not be able to get back home.

    1. @Fred, the library is just a block from the Burien Transit Center, which gets local and express routes from DT and Rapid Rides from the Tukwila light rail station.

    2. Look at the different Park and Ride locations and take public transportation. Just make sure to lock your doors and don’t leave any valuables in plain view.
      Burien library is about a 5 minute walk from the burien Park and Ride.
