The second round of results for Tuesday’s Primary Election was released by King County Elections at 3:57 p.m. on Wed., Aug. 2, and it looks like the standings remain the same as the first round.

So far the voter turnout is 22.91%.

The top two vote-getters for each non-partisan position will move onto the ballot for the Nov. 7 General Election.

Of note:

  • Incumbent Debi Wagner has received the most votes so far: 3,389/57.93%; the second most vote-getter is Darla Green, with 2,217/37.58%.
  • Incumbent Steve Armstrong is currently in third place for Position No. 7, behind newcomer Patty Janssen by 42 votes (up from 22 votes initially).
  • The biggest lead belongs to incumbent Debi Wagner, who is ahead of newcomer Jimmy Matta for Position No. 3 by 1,472 votes.
  • The closest race is currently for Position No. 7, where Krystal Marx leads Patty Janssen by 86 votes.
  • It appears that finalists will be split 50/50, with four more ‘progressive’ candidates (Olguin, Matta, Tosta & Marx) most likely facing off against four more ‘conservative’ ones (Mannng, Wagner, Green & Janssen).
  • The B-Town Blog will be holding at least one Candidate Forum in Sept. or Oct. – stay tuned for details!
