Early Friday morning (Aug. 4), Burien Police detectives served a search and arrest warrant in the 12100 block of 7th Ave SW (map below), with the assistance of the Sheriff’s SWAT team.

This big bust was in addition to another one we reported earlier near Highline High School.

“SWAT helped because we had reason to believe weapons were inside of the residence,” Capt. Bryan Howard said. “The residence was believed to be a neighborhood drug house.”

Police entered the residence and detained 11 people, many of whom had warrants for their arrest for a variety of charges.

“We also spoke with two residents who admitted to being addicted to drugs and agreed to accept our assistance,” Howard added. “Our community service officer was able to refer them to drug counselors.”

Detectives were still at the location processing evidence for their investigation Friday afternoon.

“We are thankful no one was injured and for the opportunity to connect two people to needed assistance,” Howard added.

  1. Soon some frantic needs at the Library due to another dealer(s) downfall – excellent!

      1. Just for you I will add that if heroin was found it would have been black tar from Mexico.

  2. With the caseload level and the constant hot calls these officers have to respond to as well as investigate I am always surprised to see the positive attitude and the smile that these officers have when doing their job. They are all members of the King County Sheriff but in my humble opinion this particular Department stands out. Again kudos!! to a fine agency and singled out Department
