Did you watch the great 2017 Solar Eclipse? Were you able to get some eclipse glasses and see it firsthand yourself through the morning fog? Photographer Michael Brunk took this great series of photos of the eclipse (click images to see larger versions/slideshow): Gina Tucci focused on things other than the whole Moon/Sun combo – namely, the unusual shadows cast through the leaves of trees, which acted like filters that show the actual eclipse: Dale Edwards took this cool photo showing a projection of the eclipse on his hand, of which he says: “I used a telescope for this. It was taken in Boulevard Park area at my parents house”: Julie Nelson was able to watch the eclipse at Burien Town Square using a colander: Here’s a time lapse video of people fishing at Burien’s Three Tree Point during the eclipse. Scott Schaefer noticed that the fog may have prevented it from getting much darker, but it was somewhat other-worldly with birds observed only flying north: [embed]https://youtu.be/kFqdRjwbjkk[/embed] And here’s a video that was broadcast live from Des Moines on our sister site The Waterland Blog’s Facebook page: [fbvideo link=”https://business.facebook.com/waterlandblog/videos/10155654027783844/” width=”500″ height=”400″ onlyvideo=”1″] Do YOU have any cool eclipse photos you’d like to share with our Readers? If so, please email a high-res .jpeg of it to [email protected]. Thanks!]]>
