Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce
At the Chamber, we recognize the importance of marketing and promoting our region as a place to do business. One of the ways we highlight and promote our local businesses is through our Annual Business Showcase Luncheon on October 13th. This luncheon is an opportunity for local businesses to introduce themselves (personally) in an expo style event where they can reserve a table to showcase, reassert and confirm their role within and for our region and community.
Not only will attendees have an opportunity to enjoy a phenomenal lunch and meet our exhibitors, but they also hear from our key note speaker, Kris Johnson CEO/president of the Association of Washington Business. Mr. Johnson will share how the AWB partners with our Chamber to benefit our regional economy and build business success.
To help us prepare for our event, here are my “top three” tips for successful trade showing.
- Keep the conversations short and relevant to maximize your time and traffic at your table. Time is limited and you want to maximize the number of conversations you can have.
- Collect contact information. People are more willing to give you their business card or sign up for your newsletter if there’s a chance they may win a prize. Maybe it’s a free consultation or service that can lead to more future business. Whatever it is, collect contact information. That initial contact you make today may be a future customer, but you’ll never know if you can’t follow up with them.
- Have collateral materials you can pass out. Ideally your collateral materials will also have an item included that could be of use. Maybe it’s a pen, flash drive, or even a business card taped to a candy bar. Whatever you choose, just make sure you have more than paper at your booth, paper is easily lost, misplaced, or recycled.
The Chamber is proud of being able to provide the opportunity for local businesses to market and promote their business, share their stories and culture, solidify their brand and commitment to our region, and make valuable connections and contacts.
Our business community is thriving here in Southwest King County and we’re honored to be able to provide this platform for our members to connect, share and display their success, as well as incorporate a phenomenal education component with Mr. Johnson and the AWB.
Early registration is now open for attendees and exhibitors, but space is limited, so please reserve your spot as soon as possible. For more information and to register, please visit http://www.seattlesouthsidechamber.com/events/details/business-showcase-luncheon-785
Door prizes for this event, also include two pairs of Seahawks tickets, generously donated by Mike Bulleri of Baker Commodities, Inc. Everyone who attends will receive a chance to win and exhibiters will double their chances. See you at the Showcase.
