If you heard and/or saw the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter over parts of Burien on Wednesday, Sept. 13, police tell us it’s because they had a call of a dispute between a taxi driver and his fare near the 400 block of SW 156th Street (map below).

The police chopper was seen circling low over the downtown Burien, Seahurst and Gregory Heights neighborhoods for 30 minutes or so at around 2:45 p.m.

“The driver reported that the fare displayed a gun,” Sgt. Cindi West told The B-Town Blog. “The helicopter was in the area looking for the suspect.”

In the end though, police say that both the driver and the passenger denied that a crime occurred.
