The Highline High School Band will be holding a Fundraiser at the Burien Value Village on Sunday, Sept. 24, from 1-3 p.m.

Any items dropped off during that time frame will be counted toward the Highline Band’s fundraiser.

Highline High School Band includes about 90 students this year, and they really need to raise money for more uniforms, music and to fund the field trips they take during the year.

Hi Scott, Yes I read that, but I still do not understand how the band gets money. Are the items tagged in the store as being donated for the Highline fund raiser? Sorry if I am being dense, just wondered how the items are converted to cash?

    Hi Clean it up!

From what I gathered from hearing the in-store announcements. Value Village will pay any non-profit who is staging this sort of a drive by the pound for the donations which are generated on the day/ time period of their drive.

The organization,- in this case the HHS band, gets paid right off the top. Granted it is a fraction of the sales price, but it seems like a fairly easy fundraiser.
Hope they do well. I will have to gather some stuff to bring.
