Seattle Police Detectives arrested a 21-year-old female Wednesday morning (Sept. 20) in Burien, wanted in connection for the fatal shooting of a man in West Seattle Tuesday night.

After being interviewed by detectives, the female suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.

Police say that just before 7 p.m., Seattle Police and Seattle Fire responded to reports of a shooting and a person down in the 8100 block of 31st Ave SW (map below). Seattle Fire medics attempted life-saving measures but despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are still seeking a second suspect.

Investigators do not believe that this shooting was a random act.

The fatal shooting of a man Tuesday evening occurred near 31st Ave SW and SW Thistle Street.

At the time, investigators had limited suspect descriptions; however, it is believed that the suspect fled the scene on foot and then left the area in a car.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact Seattle Police at (206) 233-5000.
