On Saturday, Sept. 18,, the ‘Walk for the Women’ fundraiser walk raised over $20,000 for Burien’s Hospitality House. “Hospitality House is so grateful for all the community support for this small transitional shelter that has served Burien and south King County for 17 years,” Peggy Meyer said. The generous participation by church members from Burien, Des Moines, and SeaTac, along with Burien business sponsors, organizations and local community members helped raise money which directly benefits homeless women who are working their way back to a stable home and life. “Thank you to Debra George of Discover Burien and to Merrill Gardens for contributing to this success. Come join us next year!” More information can be found on Facebook, or at www.hospitalityhousesouthking.org.
