OBIT: Longtime Burien resident David C. Andrews passes away; memorial Dec. 10

David Charles Andrews
May 11, 1946 – November 30, 2017

David C. Andrews, age 71, passed away peacefully November 30, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at his Federal Way, Washington home following a long illness. David was born May 11, 1946 to Bernard L. and Leone M. (Lewis) Andrews in Rochester, New York.  He attended school in Albion, NY, assisted his parents at the Silver Horseshoe Restaurant in Brockport, NY, served in the Army during Vietnam, and owned businesses in Marina Del Ray, CA, Denver, CO and Wichita Falls, TX.

Dave and Mindy were residents of Burien, WA for 30 years and owned and operated Superior Auto Glass before retiring to Federal Way, Washington. David was an avid reader and had many hobbies, including being “Mr. Fix-it”, and was an excellent chef.

David is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Melinda (Mindy) Fettig Andrews, (originally from Richardton, ND), daughter Jackie Hall of FL, son Anthony Bernard Andrews of Federal Way, WA, sisters Carol Lally (Patrick) of Buffalo, NY and Linda Christopher (Mark) of Albion, NY, numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 10 at the Kloshe Illahee clubhouse located at 2500 S. 370thSt., Federal Way, WA  98003.
