Discover Burien’s annual Clean Sweep is a citywide clean-up event, which will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 8 a.m. – Noon. Volunteers are asked to gather at 8 a.m. at the Burien Fire Station for coffee, juice, donuts, etc. before being assigned to a team which ventures out to clean neighborhoods. Volunteers can also bring their own teams. “Please bring gloves, brooms, rakes and shovels, we provide the bags! Volunteers are dispatched to an area of the city to clean up trash. Create a team from work, grab the kids and help us clean up our community!” At Noon, crews return to the fire station for a hot dog lunch and drawings with prizes donated by area businesses. The Burien Fire Station is located at 900 SW 146th Street: ]]>
