Youth violence, community safety on agenda for Monday night Council meeting

Youth violence and community safety will likely be the top items on the agenda for Monday night’s regular Burien City Council meeting, which starts at 7 p.m.

In addition, expect a Legislative Briefing from Sen. Karen Keiser, a presentation from the Puget Sound Skills Center, an Airport Update and more.

There will also be a special meeting at 6 p.m. to discuss potential litigation, as well as honoring Para los Niños as the ‘Citizen of the Year.’

SPECIAL MEETING:

  • 6:00 PM – To Hold an Executive Session to Discuss Potential Litigation per RCW 42.30.110(1), and to Review the Performance of a Public Employee per RCW 42.30.110(1)(g).
  • 6:30 PM – To Hold a Reception Honoring Citizen of the Year, Advisory Board Members and Volunteers.
