Northwest Kidney Centers announced that it has purchased land in SeaTac to relocate its West Seattle Kidney Center.

The nonprofit will build a $43 million campus at 12833 20th Ave South in SeaTac (map below) that will house 150 people, which will allow the non-profit to consolidate its different business units under one roof.

“After years of searching we are delighted to have found 4+ acres of land that allows us to Grow Bigger and Perform Better, two of our strategic goals,” CEO/President Joyce Jackson said. “In addition to moving our kidney center we will be able to relocate our Distribution and Service Center and bring many administrative and support departments together under one roof.”

The move is expected in mid- to late-2019.

The new clinic will include more support space, an Aquaboss water treatment system generator, home dialysis training space and CKD education room.

“While the address is SeaTac, it is on the border with Burien, so we are calling it our Burien center,” they said. “Because of the land we have purchased at this new site (which currently has no building on it), we have the opportunity to design and build additional space to meet the needs of our organization. Specifically, we will create a new Pavilion at Burien on the second floor above the new dialysis center, and will move many support and administrative teams to this location. Also we are in the planning process to relocate the existing Distribution Center to a separate building on this site, which will be called the ‘Logistics Center’ in the future.”

Mahlum Architects will be designing the facility, and the construction project team is Spectrum Development.
