GiveBIG – a one-day online giving campaign by the Seattle Foundation to raise funds for local nonprofits – will be held on Wednesday, May 9, and here’s how YOU can help our local non-profits.

Burien Actors Theatre is committed to treat audiences to productions of the highest artistic integrity that excite, engage and involve both the local and expanding theatrical communities in the Puget Sound region.

The Environmental Science Center promotes environmental stewardship and academic achievement through science-based education in South King County.

The Hi-Liners Inc.
We are determined to preserve and advance the performing arts in the lives of the students in our community. We do that with the belief that involvement in the performing arts produces higher levels of achievement and life awareness in our young people. Hospitality House
On any given night in America, anywhere from 2.5 to 3.5 million people are homeless. The 2016 one-night count revealed that 4,505 people were homeless in King County, which was an increase of 19% over those found without shelter the prior year. Hospitality House, opened in October 2000, seeks to help homeless women find home, health and hope.

Momentum Dance Ensemble
OUR MISSION: Our mission is to enrich the human spirit through music, dance, and theatre; inspire with performance and empower by education; and foster creativity, self-esteem, and discipline.

Pacific Northwest Railroad Archive
PNRA’s mission is to preserve the region’s railroad heritage & make it accessible to everyone over the internet, through presentations, exhibits & by personal contact. This is important since railroads established most communities in western United States, as stations were needed every eight miles along a line. Station operators handed up orders to passing trains telling them which sidings to take to pass opposing trains. Stations became the center of towns & with time, some grew into cities.

Puentes mobilizes mental health resources to help families affected by immigration policies cope and flourish despite our broken immigration system. We create innovative therapeutic spaces to promote the recovery of social agency, social healing, and organize our communities towards collective immigration justice in the United States.

The Tukwila Pantry is a non-profit food bank established to serve the residents of the city of Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien in a humane and dignified way with their food and other referral needs. The Tukwila Pantry is committed to provide food for those in need and educate the community on issues surrounding hunger.
