Volunteers are needed to join Burien and King County residents in a learning and restoration event along Miller Creek this Saturday, May 19.

“We will kick off the day learning how to identify a few common invasives and some ‘tricks’ for best removing these invasives. Then, we’ll work together to remove blackberries and scotch broom and clean up trash along the creek. For the litter pickup, we will be helping the EPA test a new litter tracking tool and collecting data on the type of trash found along the creek!”

WHEN: Saturday, May 19: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. – join for all or part of the time!

  • Snacks and refreshments provided.
  • Kid friendly.
  • Bring a pair of gloves and some close-toed shoes!

WHERE: Along the Miller Creek trail- from the intersection of S. 144th St. and S 144th Way, walk south along S 144th Way, and turn right onto the trail. We’ll be on the right.
