Sustainable Airport Master Plan Open House is at South Seattle College Thurs.

The Port of Seattle will be holding its next Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) Open House and Presentation at South Seattle College this Thursday, June 14, from 4:30 – 7 p.m.

This is one of two upcoming Open Houses and Presentations on the Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP):

  • June 14 at South Seattle College’s Georgetown Campus and 
  • June 20 at Bellevue City Hall.

For both, the open house kicks-off at 4:30 p.m., with the Presentation and Q&A to follow at 6 p.m. Both conclude at 7 p.m. Port staff will be on-hand to share information and answer questions about:

  • Potential near-term Sea-Tac Airport projects to meet regional demand through 2027
  • Sea-Tac Airport’s long-term vision: Considerations beyond 2027
  • And, the latest on the scoping process for the environmental review including how to get involved.

Sea-Tac Airport uses an established master planning process to identify ways to handle the anticipated increase in travel and cargo services over the next 20 years. SAMP is the blueprint for changes at Sea-Tac Airport to meet this future demand.

Interpreters, child care and food and refreshments provided at both events.

Meeting Notes from May 30 SAMP Open House and Presentation in Burien Now Available Online
The meeting notes from the May 30 SAMP Open House and Presentation are now available online. The notes include a summary of the Q&A portion of the meeting, a summary of the written comments received, and responses to questions that Port staff needed to research further before providing a response. Also available online is an appendix that includes the 14 comment cards collected at the 5/30 meeting.
