Brittany Robinson and Samantha Teson – two agents from Burien’s Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northwest office (our Real Estate Sponsor) – were busy last week helping support the Highline Area Food Bank. They heard that the food bank needed help collecting certain items, so the two of them closed up their laptops, put on their walking shoes and hit the pavement: With flyers attached to donated recyclable paper bags from Trader Joe’s and PCC Community Market, they went door-to-door knocking in the community. Several wonderful community supporters helped them collect a little over 100 pounds of much needed items, ranging from canned goods to baby diapers. When the items were delivered, the director of the food bank, Mike Werle, was very thankful for their hard work and commitment to helping others in their community. Here how YOU can help your local food bank:

Suggested Items for Donations (can be dropped off at the QFC in Normandy Park):
  • Canned food: tomatoes, sauce, meat, tuna, soup, fruit, vegetables, peanut butter, jelly
