Cole Madison, the fifth-round pick out of Washington State University has yet to participate in training camp so far for the Green Bay Packers.

The Burien native was placed on the ‘Reserve/Did Not Report,’ list and is dealing with a personal matter.

He signed his rookie contract back in May, but is the only Packer not to show up to camp so far. Green Bay’s General Manager Brian Gutekunst gave a statement on Maddison’s absence during a recent press conference.

“He’s still dealing with a person matter,” Gutekunst said. “We don’t expect Cole back anytime soon. This will take a little bit of time to deal with. We’re fully supportive of what’s going on.”

The “Moose” was a force for the Cougars, starting at right tackle his last three years, where he had a total of 47 career starts over his five-year tenure at WSU. According to Pro Football Focus, he only allowed 12 sacks and 11 QB hits during that time.

Maddison was a Kennedy Catholic alum from 2013. He originally started his career in Pullman as a tight end/receiver—but was switched to the offensive line soon after.
