The King County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday (Aug. 30) that additional handguns have been found inside the 16-year old suspect’s bedroom the night of an accidental shooting on Aug. 14.

Police say that the 16-year old male from Burien unintentionally shot his 14-year old friend, killing him.

The suspect has since been charged as an adult with manslaughter by the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

King County Major Crimes Detectives found two additional handguns in the 16-year old suspect’s bedroom the night of the shooting. Both of those handguns have returned as stolen.

Information on the handgun that was used to shoot the victim has not come back yet from the ATF trace, part of the serial number had been removed so it is taking extra time to determine status of that firearm.
