The King County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots being fired in Burien early last Saturday, Sept. 22.

Police say that shots were heard in the 13200 block of Ambaum Blvd. SW at around 1 a.m.

A vehicle was seen leaving the area, and deputies attempted to stop it. It took off but crashed a short distance away near SW 143rd and 6th Ave SW.

The occupant of the vehicle ran, but was found hiding in a backyard.

“He had a Department of Corrections warrant for escape and was booked into the SCORE jail,” Sgt. Ryan Abbot told The B-Town Blog.

Abbott added that this investigation is ongoing, and casings were found at SW 132nd and Ambaum, but no gun or other subject was located.
