About ACLU Burien People Power
The ACLU Burien People Power team is part of a grassroots effort to facilitate discussions and organize activities to preserve people’s rights and liberties. Our non-partisan group works through direct action, trainings, letter writing, campaigning for issues, and communicating about our priorities with our elected officials.
This group was created and is run by volunteers to organize locally. We host monthly meetings to discuss current civil liberties issues, plan future events and focus on our priorities: Immigrants’ rights, Criminal Justice Reform, Youth Engagement.
We are always accepting new members. Tell us what you enjoy doing and we’ll put your skills to work in our local effort to preserve democratic principles.
