Volunteers are needed for a Miller Creek Tree Planting event on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.img

The Miller Creek Trail in Burien provides important recreational opportunity and valuable fish and wildlife habitat.

“Join your friends and neighbors for a few hours Saturday, Oct. 27, to plant over 100 native trees & shrubs to help improve the stream-side habitat.”

WHAT: We will plant a variety of native trees and shrubs in the riparian corridor to benefit the creek and the salmon that inhabit the Miller Walker Basin.

WHEN: Saturday, October 27th, 9:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Future date: December 8th.

WHERE: Miller Creek Trail, 14455 Des Moines Memorial Drive in Burien (map below). Parking available on the northwest side of Des Memorial Drive across the street from the Des Moines Way Self Storage.


  • Filled water bottle and gloves if you have them
  • Sturdy shoes
  • Rain gear

No experience necessary. Training, tools and snacks provided!
