REMINDER: Volunteers needed for Walker Preserve Work Party on Nov. 17

Volunteers are needed to join friends and neighbors on Saturday, Nov. 17, to help protect and restore Walker Preserve.

This will be the final volunteer event of the year at this location.

“Join us for the last volunteer event of the year as we plant some native red cedars in the Preserve!”

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 17, 9:30 a.m. – Noon.

WHERE: Walker Preserve Park, SW 168th Street and 2nd Ave SW in Normandy Park, up the road from Normandy Park City Hall.

WHAT: We will plant native cedars to help improve forest health and enhance fish and wildlife habitat. No experience necessary. Tools, training, and snacks provided!


  • Filled water bottle and glove if you have them
  • Rain gear, layers and sturdy shoes
  • No experience necessary. Training, tools and snacks provided!
