The King County Sheriff’s Office/Burien Police Department is reporting that a woman was injured when a car crashed into the St. Vincent de Paul store near SW 136th and 1st Ave South in Burien (map below) on Monday, Nov. 26.

The female victim had minor injuries, and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The vehicle driver is okay, and the car – which ended up between the Bedding and Women’s sections – will be towed out once it is confirmed it is safe to do so.

From photos released by police, it appears the vehicle crashed through a loading dock-type opening on the south side of the store, facing SW 136th Street. KOMO says that the driver was picking up a mattress when the car went into reverse and crashed about 30 feet into the store.
