WEATHER UPDATE: ‘Wind Advisory’ warning issued for Friday

UPDATE 12/14/18: The National Weather Service has issued an updated ‘High Wind Watch‘ for the Puget Sound region – including the Burien area – starting around 1 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 14.

Experts say to expect south winds from around 20-35 mph, with gusts up to 45 mph, starting Friday at around 1 p.m. and continuing through around 7 p.m.

This means the potential for snapped branches, fallen trees and power outages.

* IMPACTS…Snapped tree branches and downed trees along with
local power outages.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
