Boy Scout Troop #375’s Christmas Tree Recycle Event will be Jan. 5 & 6

Boy Scout Troop #375 will be holding its annual Christmas Tree Recycling Event on Saturday, Jan. 5, and Sunday, Jan. 6 at the Burien Eagles.

“This is our primary fundraiser for all our Scout activities each year, ensuring that every boy goes to summer camp,” Scoutmaster Mark Ufkes said. “Proudly, we have five Scouts who completed their Eagle Scout award this year and 16 active boys in our troop.”

“Saint Francis will also be starting a BSA Scout Troop for girls in 2019, and hope to have our first girl Eagle Scout by 2021,” Ufkes added. “Yeah!”

Here are the details:

WHAT: Boy Scout Troop #375 Christmas Tree Recycle


  • Saturday, Jan. 5: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, Jan. 6: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WHERE: Burien Eagles, located at 920 SW 150th Street (corner of SW 149th and Ambaum, behind the Countryside Cafe, which is a great restaurant by the way).

“And thanks to the generosity of the Burien Eagles for supporting our scouts and to all the Burien families who recycle their tree year after year with us!”

Scouts will unload your tree, offer you a cup of hot chocolate, and ensure that your tree is recycled.

Donation is $5 per tree.
