On Saturday night, Mar. 29 at around 9:30 p.m., police received a 9-1-1 call about a man possibly armed with a gun near the shopping center at SW 128th Street and Ambaum Blvd. SW.

However, police say that after Deputies arrived, they encountered an intoxicated male, who they determined was not armed – just “very intoxicated.”

After several Deputies arrived, they were able to handcuff the man, and he was sent to the hospital for detox.

Here’s more details – including photos from the scene – courtesy eyewitness Frank C. Leyritz:

As I was driving home approx. 9:30 p.m. Saturday night, I was passed by a significant Code 3 string of King County Sheriff and Burien Police vehicles headed for the Guadalupe/Goodwill/Jack in The Box complex on SW 128th and Ambaum Blvd.

There had to be 8 – 9 Police vehicles surrounding a silver 4-door SUV.

There was approximately four large carriers and large ice chests on the ground at the rear hatch of the SUV.

One man was sitting on the ground next to the SUV, with his arms handcuffed behind him.
