Donors are needed for a Blood Drive at Burien City Hall this Thursday, June 13:

Platelets are in high demand! Platelets help control bleeding, and are needed for patients with cancer or during surgeries. Since platelets have a shelf life of only 5 days, we need a constant, steady supply to meet patient demand. One apheresis platelet donation is equivalent to the platelets produced from 10-15 whole blood donations.

Check out this YouTube video to see why platelet donation is more important than ever:

Explore the BWNW Platelet page for more information!

Come browse the Burien Farmers Market and donate!

There are 31 whole blood and 6 platelet appointments open – sign up here or through the app (whole blood only). Walk-ins welcome around scheduled donors.
