Help improve your watershed! Volunteers are needed for a Walker Preserve Work Party this Saturday, June 15:

Join your friends and neighbors in helping protect and restore this community treasure. Join us this weekend to help improve forest health by removing invasive ivy and blackberry!

WHEN: Saturday, June 15: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Walker Preserve Park, SW. 168th St. and 2nd Ave. SW. in Normandy Park, up the road from Normandy Park City Hall.

WHAT: We will remove invasive plants to help improve forest health and enhance fish and wildlife habitat. No experience necessary. Tools, training, and snacks provided!

What to bring:

  • Filled water bottle and gloves if you have them
  • Layers and sturdy shoes
  • No experience necessary. Training, tools and snacks provided!
