Burien City Council approves $2.75 million sale of Town Square parcels
At Monday night's session (June 17), the Burien City Council approved a settlement agreement with RECP/UP Burien II LP, owner of three undeveloped parcels at Burien Town Square related to the sale of three parcels referred to as Town Square properties. The undeveloped parcels are north of the current Town Square condominiums and Burien Library/City Hall between SW 152nd and SW 150th streets. RECP/UP Burien II LP includes the developer and a capital partner that jointly own the properties. This Saturday, June 22, the Exchange Club of Highline will be holding its 4th annual Toilet Paper Drive at the Burien Albertson's at Five Corners (15840 1st Ave. South) from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Exchange Club members will be collecting toilet paper – along with cash donations – to benefit the area's three Food Banks: Des Moines, Highline and White Center. 2012 serious crimes increased 7 percent in Burien, but overall rate remains good
