A Fall celebration of Art and Craft featuring Crimson Park Design and Shelli Park, along with Scott Grigg, is coming to Burien Town Square from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8.

There will be two installations:

  • Venue 1: Town Square Retail Space at SW 151st Street and 5th Place SW. The empty retail space at the northeast corner will house Crimson Park Design’s Fall Furniture Line, Series 1, Back from Nature as a part of an art installation by Shelli Park called Love Letters, An Installation. Love Letters includes Park’s recent works. “This installation is an opportunity to celebrate the interplay of art and craft, space and light, hubris vs. specific, community and the individual, and cause and effect in relationships,” she said.
  • Venue 2: Burien Press, 423 SW 152nd Street. Artist Scott Grigg presents American Spring Art show is a visual critique of modern American politics. “This show is my response to the Arab Spring that we all witnessed early 2012. As in many of these Arab Spring movements participants were responding to their personal and collective disapproval of how their government has dealt with a wide range of issues. This is a take on issues that I felt passionate about within modern America. I am simply hoping to get more people in dialog, which in turn will make the topics more approachable and hopefully better understood, if not by my art then through conversation with others or their own research. There are many current political topics that are not represented in this show, and the ones represented are by no means the most important.”
