From 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Burns will offer short ‘sample size’ lessons that are 10 – 20 minutes long, at a suggestion donation of $10 – $20.
“And for at least part of the day, Furry Faces will be set up in front of our building so folks can find out more about them,” Burns said. “They plan on having their ‘Tag Your Pet…It Ain’t Graffiti’ engraving machine here, plus their ‘Tie One On’ neckties for dogs and of course, information about their group.”
According to their website:
Furry Faces Foundation, a.k.a. F-Cubed or F3, is an animal loving, social group of folks whose motto is ‘having fun…while raising money for animals.’
None of us can imagine giving up our beloved pet because we can’t afford to care for him/her. We support the belief that both people and the animals benefit from this partnership. For some people, the only companionship they have is their pet.
F3 provides support for people who may need assistance to care for their companion animals, and in doing so, provides the community a vehicle for compassionate social assistance as well.
They help people who are financially restricted keep their pets with them and out of shelters/rescue groups via our three programs:
- Oliver’s Fund: assists with healthy pet food, vaccines, unexpected Vet bills and other pet necessities
- It’s Hip To Be Snipped: helps defray the cost of, or pay the full cost of spay/neuter of people’s pets
- Tag Your Pet…It Ain’t Graffiti: A pet collar with an ID tag is the #1 way pets are reunited with their people. We have a new pet tag engraving machine that we bring to our events, selling quality aluminum tags for just $5.00 each. We roll the money we earn back into the to program so we can provide free collars and ID tags to our clients’ pets. All animals want to find their way home and we want to help them do so.
