Northwest Symphony Orchestra will be holding a Halloween Concert this Friday night, Oct. 28th, starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Highline Performing Arts Center.

The show will include:
- Fanfare for the Common Man – Aaron Copland
- Halloween March – Matthew James Briggs
- World Premiere:
- Creatures of Prometheus Overture – Ludwig van Beethoven
- Arc, Infusion, Vapor, Texture–- Phillip Petersen?Holberg Suite –- Edvard Grieg? Two pieces with Karin Stevens Dance
- Orpheus in the Underworld Overture – Jacques Offenbach
Tickets will be available at the door, which opens at 7 p.m. Northwest Symphony Orchestra also makes complimentary tickets available to local school music programs – Teachers may call the orchestra office at (206) 242-6321.
The NWSO will perform 10 works by local northwest composers during the 2011 – 2012 season, seven of which are world premieres.
This unprecedented milestone of performing 125 works by local northwest composers in 25 years has garnered not only local, but national and international attention.

ABOUT NORTHWEST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Now in its twenty-fifth season, Northwest Symphony Orchestra has performed to local, regional, and national acclaim. The orchestra has performed an unprecedented number of compositions of Northwest composers and has garnered seven national awards for Programming of Contemporary Music from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, including a first place national award in 2007. The orchestra has been featured repeatedly on National Public Radio and has recorded four compact disks. Dr. Anthony Spain is Music Director.
