The Parkside Garden Club’s Plant Sale will be held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 at the Albertson’s Parking Lot at the intersection of SW 160th and 1st Ave South.
For sale will be trees, shrubs, peonies, perennials, herbs, veggies and more, plus note cards, sedum baskets, and hypertufa planters – all in time for Mother’s Day.
Proceeds from the sale will support youth scholarships, local school gardening projects, area gardens including Highline Botanical Gardens, Veterans Administration programs, area beautification projects and more.
The Parkside Garden Club meets the third Thursday of each month September through June at The Cove in Normandy Park.
Several garden tours are scheduled during the club season to include public and private gardens, nurseries and garden related activities.
