South King Media, the parent company of The B-Town Blog and a network of five other local blogs, will be holding an ‘Eleventh Night Before Christmas’ Advertiser and Reader Appreciation Party from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14th at the Tin Theater in Olde Burien.

This is a free event, open to all our Advertisers and Readers, and will give you an opportunity to hang out with your local bloggers, enjoy free appetizers, watch original animations from our Intern on the big screen, and even get a sneak peek at some new features we’re developing for 2012!

Please note that this event will also serve as a Food Drive for the Highline Area Food Bank, so be sure to bring 2+ boxes or cans of non-perishable food!

There will also be some surprises, so be sure to mark your calendars.

We’re so excited about this event that our own Mark Neuman wrote the following original holiday poem:

‘Twas the 11th night before Christmas
And all through the Tin Theater
B-Town Bloggers stood pondering:
“Hey, what rhymes with ‘Theater!'”

Scattered with care throughout the place
Red things and green things
And stuff that looks
Like Santa’s face

There’ll be vittles and cookies
Wine, beer and grog
While everyone celebrates
Four great years of the Blog

Come mingle with
Readers and Writers and Photogs alike
Hey! Look over there!
While the punch we spike

Join friends and sponsors
And our dear Advertisers
Who stick with us as we
Make you all smarter and wiser

So be hurryin’ to Burien
In this season of good cheer and love
Hey, has anyone ever really seen
A bona fide ‘Turtle Dove’?

It’s December fourteenth
From 5:30 to 7
We’ll see you all there
Rip roarin’ and revvin’
