[DISCLAIMER: BTB Publisher/Editor Scott Schaefer is serving his second year as volunteer Co-Chair of the Three Tree Point Fireworks Fund.]
Organizers of the Three Tree Point Fireworks Fund will be holding a ’3 Tree Pint’ Fundraiser Party at Burien’s Bison Creek Pizza starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 1, and everyone’s invited!
“There will be a raffle for great prizes from local businesses, excellent live music from the 3 Tree Point Blues Band and much more,” said Scott Schaefer, Co-Chair. “This will be a great opportunity to come show your support for a local fireworks tradition, as well as hang out with your neighbors and rock out.”
The 3 Tree Point Blues Band is a Burien-based band, featuring Todd Anderson on drums, Ryan Burns on keyboards, Joe DelGreco on bass, Jack Johnston on guitar, and Jamie Phalen on congas & vocals. And who knows – there may even be a surprise guest or two.
In addition to the 3TP Blues Band, an amazing Led Zeppelin tribute band called the Urban Achievers will also perform. This band includes Igor Abuladze on lead guitar and vocals, Ryan Burns on bass and mandolin, and Drew Locke on drums, and are incredibly awesome.

SEEKING RAFFLE DONATIONS
Organizers are currently seeking donations for prizes for the raffle, and anyone wishing to help out is encouraged to email email@example.com.
SEEKING BUSINESS SPONSORS
The Three Tree Point Fireworks Fund is also seeking business Sponsors to help defray the $25,000 cost for the 4th of July event – click here to download a PDF that shows the different levels. This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to market directly, at a grassroots level, to residents of the area.
Organizers are also looking for a few volunteers to help out at this event, both before and during.
“We could use some help with the raffle,” Schaefer said. “We need help procuring more donations, and will also need help at the event and more. Volunteers will even get the $5 cover charge waived and may also get free beer and pizza!”
Volunteers should email firstname.lastname@example.org.

“And remember – you don’t have to live in the neighborhood to enjoy the fireworks,” added Co-Chair Laura Beth Peterson. “I implore anyone who’s ever enjoyed this fireworks display to try and donate something!”
