Volunteers are needed for a Miller-Walker Community Stewardship Event on Saturday, Dec. 9:

WHEN: Saturday, 9:30 am – Noon, Dec. 9, 2017. Check the web site for updates! Web search the term Miller Walker Volunteer, or go to http://www.kingcounty.gov/environment/watersheds/central-puget-sound/miller-walker-creeks/volunteer.aspx

WHERE: Walker Preserve Park, SW 168th Street and 2nd Ave SW in Normandy Park, up the road from Normandy Park City Hall.

Parking options include:

  • Three spaces in the small lot at SW 171st Street and Second Ave SW
  • On the street along SW 168th Street

Please plan ahead – this park does NOT have a restroom.

BRING:

  • Filled water bottle
  • Gardening gloves (if you have them; we also will have plenty to loan)
  • Dress for the weather – rain gear, layers, and sturdy shoes or boots

Volunteers of all ages are welcome; children need to be accompanied by a parent or an adult.

We provide tools, gloves, and snacks!
