Scottye Miller, 31 – of Burien – was sentenced Friday afternoon (Jan. 10) to 50 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend in Auburn in 2012 (read our previous coverage here). A jury last month found Miller guilty of ‘Murder in the First Degree’ with a deadly weapon enhancement as charged for the murder of Tricia Patricelli, 33, on Oct. 30, 2012. Prosecutors said that Miller stabbed the victim at least 30 times in the brutal attack. The jury’s verdict included two aggravating factors:
- The jury found that there was a domestic violence pattern of abuse of multiple victims;
- And that Miller reoffended after recently being released from incarceration for a prior domestic violence offense against Ms. Patricelli.
