[EDITOR’S NOTE: BTB Founder/Publisher Scott Schaefer is on the Board of Discover Burien, a local business non-profit.] Farmers-Market-Poster-2014 Discover Burien will again put on its weekly Farmers Market starting Thursday, May 1, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m and again every Thursday through Oct. 20 at Burien Town Square Park at 5th Ave & SW 152nd Street. The Farmers Market features locally grown fruits, vegetables and flowers, as well as live entertainment each week, along with some selected craft booths. This year you will also be able to purchase a boxed lunch to go. The Market Fresh Lunches will be available from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. and will feature offerings from Burien restaurants. Though the date is approaching quickly, vendors, individuals, or nonprofits that wish to participate in the 2014 Farmers Market can still apply by downloading and submitting the “Farmer Market Rules and Vendor Registration” form from the Discover Burien website or by calling the event manager, Debra George at (206) 941-7199.
