Edward “Eddie” E. Grant, 51

The good samaritan who was tragically shot and killed in White Center Tuesday morning (July 14) has been identified by the King County Medical Examiners Office as Edward “Eddie” Earl Grant, 51.

As we previously reported, Grant was fatally shot near the 10600 block of 14th Ave SW after he tried to intervene in a robbery.

He died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The shooting suspect escaped, and is still at large. He was described as a black male wearing a dark hoodie, shorts, and a red mask.

According to a Facebook post, there will be a candlelight service for Grant tonight (Friday, July 17) at 9 p.m. at the Coronado Springs Apartment Homes, located at 1400 SW 107th Street.

RIP Eddie. It irritates me off that people try to help and they get killed for that.
