We encourage residents of all ages to submit stories and photos for posting – for consideration, please email yours to [email protected]!] Photos and Story by Isabel Herbruger, age 11 On Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, I was able to shoot one inning as the honorary photographer for the Mariners against the Chicago White Sox. Before the game started, I walked around the stadium looking for stories and met “Moose-man.” He collects a mini-moose for every home game win since the opening of Safeco Field on July 15, 1999. That is 16 years of wins hanging from him! During the second inning I was able to shoot in both media pits by the White Sox dug outs. They also announced me on the big screen afterwards. It was cool to shoot the Mariners, but I really like shooting the Highline Bears. Because I know the Bear players, I can get better shots of them on and off the field. Great shots are difficult to get when you don’t know the players and only have a short time on the field.
