Dozens of brave, crazy citizens dove into the New Year at the Three Tree Point Polar Bear Plunge on Friday, Jan. 1, under bright and clear sunny skies, with the air temp around 35 and the water actually warmer – between 40-45 degrees. This year’s Polar Bear Plunge Champion was AJ Stumpf of Burien, who wore his daughter’s hot pink (and very tight) pants and waved a US flag. Here’s video of the plunge as shot and edited by Scott Schaefer: Here’s a cool slo-mo video courtesy Saundra Mock: [fbvideo link=”https://www.facebook.com/saundra.mock/videos/vb.544953113/10153838361058114/?type=2&theater” width=”500″ height=”400″ onlyvideo=”1″] Here are some excellent photos courtesy Elston Hill (click images to see larger versions/slideshow): aPolar Plunge 2016 B (4) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (7) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (28) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (42) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (41) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (40) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (39) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (38) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (36) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (35) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (34) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (33) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (32) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (31) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (26) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (25) bPolar Plunge 2016 B (23) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (22) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (21) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (20) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (18) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (17) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (16) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (15) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (14) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (13) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (12) cPolar Plunge 2016 B (10) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (5) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (3) aPolar Plunge 2016 B (2) And here are some great photos courtesy Jana Kleitsch (click images to see larger versions/slideshow): 920850_10153739692675803_5099739197523068339_o 1614293_10153739692815803_4486797773361663112_o 12469593_10153739693085803_962796711793493743_o 12471754_10153739693030803_7297401263552533415_o 12357053_10153739692820803_3572913807512182524_o 10633382_10153739693130803_6015749040605648544_o]]>
