The parade – which will celebrate its 95th anniversary this year on July 4 – is held in downtown Burien. It is one of the oldest and best attended in King County. “Seafair believes in celebrating the traditions of our region, resources and diverse resident,” the Seafair Foundation said in a statement. “The thirty festivals and parades selected as Seafair Community events are important elements of our healthy communities.†This means that Discover Burien has the opportunity to attend Seafair Community Event workshops and receive priority access to Seafair Entertainment and Service Groups for requests of Seafair Clowns, Pirates, Commodores, Marshals or Royalty. Our event will be published on the Seafair web page, Seafair.com which receives over 750,000 visitors and 2.5million page views. It will also be published in the Seafair festival magazine and all Seafair posters and brochures. “We are so pleased to be accepted into the Seafair family of events and thank our Event Manager, Debra George, for all her hard work making this happen for the Burien community†said Denise Ferguson, Acting Executive Director. If you are interested in volunteering or attending the Parade you can find more information on our website www.discoverburien.org or by calling 206-433-2882.
