20160714_175540 20160714_174951 20160714_175738 The combined Pacwest and South HiLine National Big League team won the State championship Thursday night at Shorewood High School in Shoreline. The team took a perfect 3-0 record in state play to the championship game. The team will start Western Regional play on Monday, July 18 at 3 p.m. against Hawaii. The game will be played at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. The winner of the Western Regional tournament will represent the West in the big League World Series in Easley South Carolina in 2 weeks. Casey Hillyard Propels Pacwest LL Seniors Timber Rattlers Past District 1 (Everett), 5-1 Pacwest LL Seniors Timber Rattlers’ four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 5-1 win over District one on Thursday at Shorewood. Pacwest LL Seniors Timber Rattlers scored in the first on a hit by pitch, an RBI single by David Perkins, and a two-run double by Nicholas Hovland. Ryan Moormeier was hot from the plate for Pacwest LL Seniors Timber Rattlers. Moormeier went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning. Christian Hagler got the win for Pacwest LL Seniors Timber Rattlers. He pitched three shutout innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered four hits. The lone run of the game for District one crossed the plate in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by #35.
