It was a great game with lots of new fans in the stands and home runs by Bear Terrell and Bear Angel. Bear Terry was so calm during the game he was literally blowing bubbles with gum during his hits. The final score was 5-3. There was one strange play during the game and B-Town Blog readers can try being an umpire on it: Bear Drew caught a Stud in a pickle. There was a diving tag…the question is did he get him or not? The umpires held a conference to decide they would let the Stud stay on base. That fired up the Bear pitcher, Dustin, who quickly finished the inning with no one scoring. The other Bear pitchers were Derek and Joey. During the last innings. there were great catches and plays by the Bears to prevent the Studs from scoring again. The Bears play Tuesday night (July 26) in Fall City. The last two home games are Wednesday, July 27 and Friday July 29. Both games are to start at 7 p.m., unless the stadium lights are not fixed yet, in which case the games will start early at 5:30. Both home games will have kids running bases afterwards and able to talk to their favorite Bear players before they disappear until next summer. There will be a limited edition team photo available at both home games ($5 each) if you want to try and “Catch ’em all” after the game. Thank you for your time and consideration, – Isabel H.]]>
