Over 200 lose power in Burien during Monday morning windstorm

Over 200 business and residential customers of Seattle City Light were in the dark after the first round of fierce winds hit the Burien area Monday morning, Nov. 13.

City Light says the outage started just after 6 a.m., and the estimated restoration time will be 3:42 p.m.

Power was lost in the area around Ambaum Blvd. SW and SW 135th/SW 134th Streets:

Cause of the outage was still under investigation.

The National Weather service issued a ‘High Wind Warning‘ that will be in effect until 9 p.m., with gusts up to 65 mph expected.
