A celebration for outgoing Burien City Councilmembers, as well as new/re-elected ones, will be held on Monday, Dec. 18, starting at 6:30 p.m.
This free and open event will take place at City Hall, before the final regular council meeting of 2017.
One landmark for the new council is that it will include its first-ever Latinx councilmembers – Pedro Olguin & Jimmy Matta.
Also being celebrated will be incoming new lawmaker Krystal Marx, as well as re-elected Nancy Tosta.
Outgoing councilmembers Steve Armstrong, Lauren Berkowitz and Debi Wagner will also be honored for their service to the City of Burien.
