Highline Schools Foundation announced this week the start of its Gold Star awards process and celebration events for 2018. The theme for Gold Star this year is “This Is Highline,” honoring the people that make Highline Public Schools such an amazing school district. Gold Star awards recognizes the teachers, staff members, administrators, and volunteers that make Highline Public Schools so special. The Gold Star Fundraising breakfast celebrates and recognizes the ways that Highline Schools Foundation is making a difference for teachers GOLD STAR AWARD NOMINATIONS Do you work with or for a person who has made a significant contribution in our district? The Highline Schools Foundation would like to recognize their work. They encourage you to take this opportunity to give recognition to the outstanding staff and volunteers in Highline Public Schools. Each year, the Highline Schools Foundation solicits nominations from community members, district employees and parents for its prestigious and much-anticipated Gold Star Awards. These awards provide the community the opportunity to honor those in our schools and district who have shown outstanding support of students and education and who give all of us inspiration and direction. The Foundation is actively seeking nominations for all award categories.

Each year, the Gold Star Breakfast is a much-anticipated celebration and fundraiser to benefit the Highline Schools Foundation, which is the only nonprofit organization supporting all Highline Public Schools. Since 1999, the Highline Schools Foundation has been supporting innovation and excellence in Highline Public Schools and directly supporting students in our district in areas where state funding cannot. All funds raised by Highline Schools Foundation help students and teachers in Highline Public Schools get the resources they need to be successful.
