From our friends at the Highline High Alumni Association:

Highline High Alumni Profile: Cori Allan 1
After graduating from Highline High School in 2011, Cori Allan attended Western Washington University, where she earned two Bachelor’s Degrees, one in Sociology and another in Comprehending a Diverse Classroom.
Cori then attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Cori worked as a Spanish teacher at McKinley High in Baton Rouge before returning home to Seattle to pursue a career in Consulting in the corporate world.
When asked what advice she would give current Pirates, Cori said:

“When you graduate ‘what are you going to do?’ is the number one question you will hear from others. Some of you may have your plans down. If that is you, I hope your path is exactly what you hope it will be. If you think you have a plan only to find out you want to change your mind; change it. Remember it really is true what they say, the joy is in the journey. If you are leaving high school with little or no idea of what you want to make out of your life, you are not alone. Most of your peers leaving high school also have no idea what they want to do. My advice is to try everything. Explore. Explore the world. Explore yourself. Again, the joy is in the journey. Ask questions, take risks, and most of all remember that most people have no idea what they are doing anyway.”

“Thank you so much for your advice Cori and good luck with the new career!
